- Your recipes are saved only in your own browser. We never see them.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the site and app are used.
- We only receive your email or a message if you choose to send them.
- We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Who we are
PanProfit (panprofit.com) is an independent recipe cost and pricing tool for small food businesses. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean PanProfit. You can reach us at hello@panprofit.com.
Your recipes stay on your device
Everything you enter in the app (recipes, ingredients, prices, presets, shopping lists) is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.
- Backup files you download from the app are saved on your device and stay under your control.
- Clearing your browser data, or using a private window, removes your saved recipes. Download a backup if you want to keep them.
Information you choose to send us
Your email address. The app may occasionally invite you to leave your email to hear about new features and perks for early users. This is optional. If you leave it, we receive your email address, the date, and how many recipes you had saved at that moment (a number, never the recipes themselves).
Feedback. If you send feedback from the app, we receive your message, the topic you chose, your email address if you add one, and some technical details that help us fix problems: the app version, how many recipes you have saved, your browser and device type (user agent), and your screen and window size.
These submissions are stored in a private Google Sheets spreadsheet in our Google account, and we get an email notification for each one. We use them only to reply to you, to improve PanProfit and, if you left your email for updates, to send you occasional news about PanProfit. Every update email lets you unsubscribe.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use PanProfit, for example which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from (country or city level), which device and browser they use, and how the app is used (such as how many recipes are saved, or whether a backup is downloaded). These measurements never include the content of your recipes.
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies, and the data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, use a content blocker, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. PanProfit works the same either way.
Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not show ads or use your data for advertising.
- We do not share your information with anyone except the service providers that run PanProfit for us (Google, for analytics and for storing submissions), or when the law requires it.
How long we keep your information
- Email addresses: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Feedback: as long as we need it to reply and to improve PanProfit, then we delete it.
- Analytics: 14 months, as set in Google Analytics.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the email address or feedback you sent us, and we will do it. Just write to hello@panprofit.com.
Children
PanProfit is a tool for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
